Refund and Cancellation Policy

Matty G's Barbecue & Catering Co. LLC

We understand that event plans can change, and we strive to be as flexible as possible while protecting the time and resources required to prepare for your event. Please review our catering cancellation and refund policy below.

1. Securing Your Date (Deposits): To secure our catering services for your event date, a strictly non-refundable deposit of 30% of the estimated total invoice is required at the time of booking. Your date is not reserved until this deposit is received.

2. Final Payment and Headcount

The remaining balance of your invoice is due in full 14 days prior to your event.

A final guest headcount and finalized menu selections are also required at this 14-day mark. After this date, the guest count may be increased (subject to food and staff availability) but cannot be decreased. You will be billed based on the final guaranteed headcount provided at this deadline, even if fewer guests attend.

3. Cancellation Timeline and RefundsIf you need to cancel your event, refunds (excluding the 30% non-refundable deposit) are processed based on the following timeline:

30+ Days Prior to Event: Cancellations made 30 days or more before the scheduled event date will receive a full refund of any amounts paid above the initial non-refundable deposit.

15 to 29 Days Prior to Event: Cancellations made within this window will receive a 50% refund of any amounts paid above the initial non-refundable deposit.

Under 14 Days Prior to Event: Cancellations made less than 14 days before the event are strictly non-refundable. At this stage, specialty ingredients have been ordered, prep work has begun, and the final balance has been collected. The total invoice amount remains due in full.

4. Event Postponement: If you need to reschedule your event rather than cancel, we will do our best to accommodate your new date. Postponements requested at least 30 days in advance will have their deposit fully transferred to the new date (subject to our availability). Postponements requested within 30 days of the event may be treated as a cancellation, subject to the terms in Section 3, at the discretion of Matty G's Barbecue & Catering Co. LLC.

5. Acts of God / Force Majeure: Matty G's Barbecue & Catering Co. LLC shall not be held liable for failure to perform services due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, or public health mandates. In such events, we will work with you to apply paid balances toward a future rescheduled event.
